What began as a day of friendly scrimmages amongst California’s three inclusive rugby clubs
has grown into the premier rugby festival of the western United States! Rucktacular is a
celebration of Community and Sport championing inclusion, attracting over 300 LGBTQIA+ and
Allied ruggers.

Community Impact
Colloquially known as a “Gay Oasis,” Palm Springs has a strong history within SoCal LGBTQIA+
culture, dating back to the mid-20th century. To the Agua Caliente band of Cahuilla Indians
- the owners and caretakers of the land - the region is known as Séc-he (“the sound of
boiling water” in the Cahuilla language). The hot mineral springs are a source of community
healing and a spiritual connection to ancestors!
Each Rucktacular, Gay & Inclusive rugby clubs come together to partake in a weekend of
connection through rugby. Here, everyone belongs! This year’s Rucktacular is particularly
exciting, featuring teams from three countries for the first time since the tournament’s
inception. During a resurgence of anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation, Rucktackular gives us more than
rugby - it gives us community, restoration, and joy.
Attending Rucktacular 2025?
All players, coaches, and admins must be registered with USA Rugby. Rosters will be
required for submission by December 1.
All ticketed events are pre-sale only.
We cannot guarantee that Individual tickets for events will be available at the Rugby Festival.
